Privacy Policy

Kovara Beauty & Skin (“Kovara”, “we”, “us”) is based at Unit 3, Riverview Business Centre, Celbridge, Co. Kildare, W23 VH5X, Ireland. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website (kovara.ie), why we collect it, and what rights you have over it.

What this policy covers

This policy covers the kovara.ie website only. It doesn’t cover any paper consultation or health forms you fill in with us in person at the studio — we’ll explain how that information is used separately, at the time. It also doesn’t cover Fresha, the third-party platform we use for online booking: once you follow a “Book Now” link, you’re on Fresha’s site and subject to Fresha’s own privacy policy, which you can find on fresha.com.

Data we collect

We only collect personal data that you choose to give us, or that’s generated automatically by visiting the site:

• Contact form. If you use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, message, and — if you choose to provide them — your phone number and the treatment you’re interested in.
• Website hosting logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information (such as IP address and browser type) for security and performance purposes. We don’t use this to identify individual visitors.
• Embedded Google Maps. Our Contact page embeds a Google Map so you can find the studio. Loading that map sends data to Google and may set cookies from google.com, governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
• Google Fonts. This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser makes a request directly to Google’s servers to fetch those font files, which shares your IP address with Google.
• Analytics (Google Analytics). If you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site — pages viewed, general location (country/region level), device type, and how you found us. This is only collected if you opt in; see our Cookie Policy for the specific cookies involved.

How we use your data

We use the information you submit through the contact form for one purpose: to read your enquiry and reply to it. When you submit the form, it’s processed by our hosting provider, Netlify, and automatically forwarded by email (via our email delivery provider, Resend) to Kovara’s inbox so a real person can respond — usually Lauren.

Our legal basis for processing this data is your consent (you chose to submit the form) and our legitimate interest in being able to respond to enquiries about our services. Where you’ve opted in to analytics cookies, our legal basis for that processing is your consent, given (or withdrawn) via the cookie banner — you can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” control on the site.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell or rent your data. It’s only shared with the service providers who help us run the website and respond to you:

• Netlify — hosts the website and processes contact form submissions.
• Resend — delivers the email notification when you submit the contact form.
• Google — serves the embedded map and website fonts, and (only if you’ve accepted analytics cookies) provides Google Analytics. Analytics data is retained in Google Analytics for 14 months before being automatically deleted. See Google’s Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.

How long we keep it

We keep contact form enquiries for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and to keep a record of the conversation, and delete them once they’re no longer needed. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time — see “Your rights” below.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

• ask us what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
• ask us to correct anything that’s inaccurate or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your data;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your data;
• ask for your data in a portable format.

Children

This website isn’t directed at children, and we don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time — for example, if we start using a new tool or service on the website. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do.
